In recent weeks, there have been multiple fires reported in Boise parks related to the use of illegal fireworks. Boise Fire Department, Boise Police Department and Boise Parks and Recreation want to remind residents and visitors that personal fireworks are not allowed in city parks.🚫Anyone found possessing or using fireworks could be charged. Thank you for leaving the fireworks at home when visiting parks and open spaces. It’s up to all of us to protect the beautiful outdoor spaces we know and love.

Thank you to our Picnic in the Park volunteers for making this great program happen every summer! Each year, we partner with the Boise School District to provide free bagged lunches for kids and teens on weekdays throughout the summer months. Picnic in the Park sets up at several city parks, including Cassia, Ivywild, Winstead, Sunset and Phillippi. We’re so excited to see this important program continue to thrive! 🥪🌳💛
