This is great news on this long-awaited neighborhood safety project! Construction begins next month. 🚧🚸

Starting as early as October, construction will start on the Hill Road and Lancaster Drive Enhanced Pedestrian Crossing project. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for pedestrians. Construction is expected to be complete by late November 2026.

No closures are anticipated. Lane restrictions with flaggers will be in place for the project. Construction schedules may change.

1.3 miles of dirt road. Constant grading and dust mitigation. A significant maintenance burden, safety concern and nuisance for neighbors.

Last year we applied a chip seal-style treatment called otta seal to Sunset Peak Road, and it is exceeding expectations. Hundreds of thousands saved in future maintenance. Measurably better air quality for the surrounding neighborhood.

I’m proud of smart and creative solutions like this one that save money and improve quality of life. 💚

The enhanced pedestrian crossing at Floating Feather and Edgewood in Eagle is looking good! 🚸
This federal-aid project brought ADA-compliant ramps, a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon, and speed cushions along Edgewood.
Projects like this don't happen overnight. They take coordination, advocacy, and a commitment to building streets that work for everyone. 🚙🚲🚶🛴♿️
Eagle, you deserve safe streets. Let's keep building them. 💚

Big news from ACHD this week — we unanimously approved a $261 million budget for the coming fiscal year! That means safer roads, better sidewalks, improved bike lanes, and critical infrastructure investments coming to communities and neighborhoods across Ada County. 🙌
Thank you to my fellow Commissioners for their thoughtful engagement in this process, and a big thank-you to KTVB for covering what this budget means for our community. 🙏

The budget will go into effect Oct. 1 to fund road projects and other expenses from the ACHD.

What a great turnout last night at the Star Road public open house. 🙌

It was energizing to see so many neighbors come out to learn about the project and share their thoughts on what Star Road between Chinden Boulevard and State Street should look like. This is exactly the kind of community engagement that makes our projects better.

I officially have an opponent in this race, and the campaign for ACHD District 3 just got very real.

I have spent four years working to represent you. I have fought for safe routes to school, pushed for safer streets for every member of our community, and shown up for every corner of District 3 and Ada County. I am proud of that record, and I believe this community is worth fighting for with everything we've got. I am not done. But I need this community to show up with me.

The most powerful thing you can do right now is put a yard sign in your front yard. It tells your neighbors, your street, and every voter who drives by that I have earned your support -- and in a competitive race, that visibility matters enormously.

Another chance to have your voice heard, hope to see you there!

We are developing plans to widen and improve Star Road between State Street (SH-44) and Chinden Boulevard (US-20/26).

Due to growing population of the surrounding area, changes on Star Road are needed to increase capacity, mobility and safety for motorists. The project will include widening Star Road to five lanes and adding new multi-use pathways to provide safer accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists.

It's official! I filed this morning for reelection as your ACHD Commissioner for District 3. 🙌🎉

I am honored to be in this race. Serving north Boise, Eagle, and Star for the past four years has been the greatest privilege of my professional life, and I am just getting started. Safe routes to school. Bike and pedestrian infrastructure. Roads that keep pace with our growing communities.
