82 Years Ago Today: D-Day
On June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most courageous military operations in history. The success of D-Day marked a turning point in World War II and helped secure the freedom that generations have enjoyed ever since.
Today, we pause to remember the brave Americans and Allied servicemen who faced overwhelming odds, many making the ultimate sacrifice in defense of liberty. Their courage, duty, and selflessness remain an enduring example for us all.
As we honor the heroes of D-Day, may we never forget the cost of freedom and the debt we owe to those who fought to preserve it.
