Youβre invited! Save Our Schools Idaho is hosting a series of town halls across the state to discuss the recently passed $50 million program that uses tax dollars to fund private school tuition. Some lawmakers want to see the program expanded to $339 million a year, amounting to over $3 billion in taxpayer funds over the next decade.
Join Save Our Schools Idaho as we kick-off this statewide effort on April 23-25 for three Town Halls across Ada County to discuss the impacts of expanding this program.
Each Town Hall will include the voices of education stakeholders and community members. They will provide critical information on this new program and answer your questions. Go to saveourschoolsidaho.com/town-hall-events to get more information and RSVP to ensure you get a seat!

βππ₯ππ πππ ββπΈπβππβπ π Congratulations to these North Jr. High students, who won a national championship in the 2024 National Academic Championships (NAC)! π The NJHS team included 9th Graders Grady Noble and Scarlet Fields; 8th Graders Ike Snyder, Rachel Cooper, and Sonia Guyton and 7th Grader Christopher Irwin.
The National Academic Championships feature competitive teams of four players each answering questions across various academic subjects, including literature, history, science, geography, math, popular culture, and current events. Teams nationwide compete in qualifying tournaments throughout the school year for a chance to advance to the National Preliminaries. Successful teams at this level then vie for a spot in the National Playoffs.
There were 40 teams throughout the nation who qualified for the National Preliminaries and 16 of those teams advanced to the National Playoffs. On their route to the championship, North Jr. High won all of their playoff games and averaged the most points per playoff game. Incredible!
Way to go, Vikings! π
