DOOR KNOCK OF THE DAY (May 9). Actually, there were two doors that delivered similar messages today. The first conversation was with someone who said he knew who I was and he had never voted for me. However, he was very concerned about the growing extremism in the legislature – and Christian nationalism in particular. He is concerned to the point that he is seriously considering voting differently this November. A few doors later, I met a person who didn’t mince any words: “I’ve been a life-long Republican, but not anymore.”

These interactions, along with others of a similar vein, indicate that people are paying attention and they don’t like the direction the Idaho Legislature is heading.

Idaho lawmakers, deadlocked over ‘rat apocalypse,’ blame city transplants Lawmakers have spent hours debating a surge in rats menacing Boise-area homes and threatening agriculture and public health. Some blamed people moving from blue states.

Great turnout at our D15 Dinner Huddle at Casa Mexico last night, thank you to everyone who showed up!
We’re so grateful for the many incredible community members who took the time to be there, hear D15 updates, and enjoy a great meal together. We also heard a campaign speech from D15's own Jae Etchart, who is running for Idaho House, Seat B - thank you to all who asked questions! Were glad to have Nancy Gregory (running for D15 Senate) and Rep. Steve Berch there as well! Thank you to Casa Mexico as always for hosting.
