“Join us at Boise State University for a screening of Gone Guys, a compelling 45-minute documentary exploring the challenges facing boys and young men today—including educational disengagement, loneliness, social isolation, substance abuse, and su***de. Set in rural Vermont, the film combines national data, animation, and personal stories from young men, educators, mentors, and community leaders working to create connection and opportunity.

The screening invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to consider how schools, families, and communities can better support boys and young men while fostering a compassionate, inclusive conversation about mental health, belonging, and healthy masculinity. The film emphasizes that caring about boys and men is not an either-or choice, but part of building healthier communities for everyone.”
