Bolton Central School is a small school serving approximately 210 students in grades PK-12. The school is located in Bolton Landing, NY and sits on the banks of beautiful Lake George. This is the OFFICIAL page for Bolton Central School

Nothing brings out pure, high-stakes playground energy quite like a Rock, Paper, Scissors showdown! Watching our elementary students cheer each other on during this ultimate battle of strategy and quick hands was one of the highlights of our Spirit Week.

As in previous years, our BCS elementary students will be playing in the Youth Adirondack League, split into the following age/grade-level groups (if numbers allow):

• Grades 1-2 COED
• Grades 3-4 COED
• Grades 5-6 GIRLS
• Grades 5-6 BOYS

PRACTICES (all dates are subject to change):
• Each group will practice at least one day a week in the BCS gym.
• Grades 1-2 will begin practices on Saturday, January 9.
• Grades 3-6 will begin practices in the first week of December.

GAMES (all dates are subject to change):
• Games will be played mostly on Saturday mornings but there may be an occasional game during the week.
• Grades 1-2 games will not begin until mid/late January.
• Grades 3-4 games will begin January 9.
• Grades 5-6 will begin December 12 and will play through February 6.

Required Equipment:
Sneakers (dry/free of snow and mud)
Shorts
T-shirt (provided by the school)
Hair tie
Water bottle
(BCS has a sporting footwear exchange/take what you need supply in the Gym lobby, please contact me if you need help finding something!)

A community is a social unit or group of people who share common characteristics, interests, values, a sense of place, or identity. Bolton Central School students embody the definition of community as part of their everyday routine. This is just a selection of our students that volunteered to support this year’s Booster Club Golf Outing. Thank you to all our students who volunteered for the event, our generous community of friends, family and local businesses that supported the outing and the Booster Club’s mission. Most importantly, the members of the Bolton Booster Club whose tireless efforts ensure our student-athletes receive the resources, encouragement, and support they need to succeed both on and off the field.

The hum of water pumps replaced the usual conversations in Mr. Sheridan’s Environmental Science class this fall.

It all began when the students placed tiny, teardrop-sized lettuce seeds into rockwool plugs. The idea that a handful of water, balanced nutrients, and light – the core principle of hydroponics - could produce lettuce without a single handful of soil felt almost experimental.

Over the next few weeks, the crop had reached peak harvest. Working together the group harvested enough greens to share with Mr. Foy in our own cafeteria.

What started as a tiny seed in a sponge had blossomed into something far greater—a living lesson in sustainability, self-reliance, and community connection.

The Winter sports season begins on Monday, November 16th. Sign-up sheets are in the cafeteria.

The registration portal for winter sports will be open as at noon on Monday, October 26th.

On Saturday, November 21st, Bolton PTO will host a Turkey Trot/5K Run and a Kid’s Block Trot/Walk. The race returns to Veteran’s Memorial Park, Bolton Landing, New York. Proceeds from the event will support PTO initiatives for BCS students.

There will be prizes for top finishers in each age group and best Turkey Trot costume. Register online or on the day of the event. Registration is only $5.00 per student, $20 per adult and $40 per family!

On Thursday, October 29th Bolton CSD will partner with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm on the gym stage. Please consider the importance of giving blood and giving back to our community. The Red Cross makes it easy to donate and allows donors to feel good about helping to save lives. For more information on the donation process and eligibility requirements, please go to www.redcrossblood.org. Walk-ins are also welcome! We hope to see you there!

On Monday, October 26th through Friday the 30th, BCS students will celebrate Spirit Week with a variety of fun and creative activities. In addition, the Class of 2027 will be hosting some fundraisers!

This Spirit Week is sure to be a great time to demonstrate what a vibrant and unified community Bolton Central School is.
