What a wonderful time at our October FUNch Bunch! We had 60 members join us for a fun-filled gathering featuring great entertainment by the HUGS Ukulele Group!

🍝 Happy National Pasta Day!

Did you know pasta has a history dating back thousands of years?

Some of the earliest evidence of noodles dates back approximately 4,000 years to China, while pasta was already popular in Italy by the 12th century.

By the 1800s, pasta had become a staple of Italian cuisine, and Italian immigrants later helped bring their beloved dishes to America.

Today, there are more than 300 pasta shapes enjoyed around the world!

❤️ From family recipes to favorite restaurant dishes, pasta has a special way of bringing people together.

A Full House and a Great Day of Health & Wellness!

The Bonita Senior Center was buzzing with activity following our Senior Expo!

Thanks to the wonderful team from Walgreens, more than 30 members received their flu vaccines, while our visiting Ave Maria University nursing students provided blood pressure checks for 20 members.

A big thank you to Walgreens and the nursing students for helping our members stay healthy and informed!

This week, we celebrated Active Aging Week and all the wonderful ways our members stay active, creative, and connected!

From chair volleyball and music therapy drumming to creative activities, laughter, and lasting friendships, there's always something happening at Bonita Senior Center! 🌸🥁

Because staying active isn't just about moving your body. It's about keeping your mind engaged, making connections, and enjoying life at every age!

For Bill, getting involved at the Bonita Senior Center has meant staying active, meeting new people, and finding plenty of reasons to keep coming back - including a pretty good lunch! 😊

🌴🎶 Our September FUNch Bunch brought a little taste of the Caribbean to the Bonita Senior Center!

A big thank you to Intune Health, our September FUNch Bunch sponsor! Tammy and Alyse joined us to introduce our members to the services Intune offers and share more about how they support older adults in our community. We’re so grateful for their support!

Then it was time for some island fun! 🥁🌺 Jim Saint Amour and his steel drums took us to the Caribbean and back with upbeat music, sing-alongs, and plenty of smiles.

And the best part? We’ll be welcoming Jim back in November as one of the entertainers at our Gala! We can’t wait to enjoy another evening of his music.
