One of our original members recommended an author to us that we’ve all really enjoyed reading. We’ll be discussing his fourth book in the Marcus Ryker action hero-mystery series at our March 2027 meeting. It’s good that there are six total, so we can keep this going for another few years. These books are fun, but they’re also informative and rather timely.

Thank you, Smithsonian magazine, for the long feature on “Georgia Tann babies,” including many mentions of “Before and After,” the nonfiction book Lisa Wingate and I wrote about Tann survivors. This book continues to change lives. Stories matter! ”

If you enjoyed our April 2022 selection, The Hidden Life of Trees, or perhaps our first-ever book club selection, Wild, in February 2016, this news segment about the California redwoods is a nature-inspired story you’ll probably enjoy as well!
