๐ฉท We would like to take this time to honor such an incredibly compassionate woman. So many of us in the community know the immeasurable amount of LOVE she poured into Bonner Springs. The families we care for were no exception. Vicki has always been such an unwavering supporter to our family and businesses for years. For now, we will look back on her memory with great admiration and gratitude that she blessed our lives and so many of our families in need.
My fondest memory of Vicki is the first time I met her as a pre-teen at one of her Bike Run Fundraisers. At the time my mother, Tamera was a young Case manager trying to raise money for a young boy named Christopher. Vicki organized a massive fundraising effort at Kobiโs to raise money for Christopherโs care, nursing, wheelchair ramps for the family home etc. She moved throughout the bar with the biggest smile, chatting with everyone as she weaved throughout the packed establishment. Vicki and her Mom sat with My mom and I as we shared some of the best fried mushrooms ever (IYKYK)โฆ
Eventually Vickiโs radiant smile turned serious yet sincere. She handed over a classic Crown Royal bag for Christopher. Locking eyes with my mother and said โDo something good with this!โ
She hustled all day for hundreds of customers, giving her all, and making everyone feel welcome. And at the end of the day, gave a bag full of money raised for a young boy she had just met. This was our first meeting, but certainly not the last time she would go on to raise funds for families in need. She continued to support our families, and so many others. Who knows how many Crown Royal bags she gave to a family in need without hesitation.
We are so thankful for her. Condolences to her family that shared her kind spirit with our community. She could bring people together like nobody else and was one hell of a hardworking woman. Her level of generosity and compassion was and will always be so inspiring. She was the embodiment of True Kindness; giving to others without expecting anything back.
We hope those she has blessed, can gather one last time in her honor to pay respects.
Information on Visitation and Services are included in the link.
Thanks for the memories, Vicki!
Rest In Paradise!
