September is Su***de Prevention Month.

The Idaho Crisis & Su***de Hotline is available 24/7 at 988.

Anyone can reach out to 988 when they are overwhelmed, anxious, scared, struggling with relationships, worried about a friend, dealing with a difficult situation, or simply feel like they need someone to talk to. Trained crisis responders are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to listen, provide support, and help anyone figure out what to do next.

And there’s another important update for Idaho youth: A new state law ensures that young people can contact 988 for crisis support without first obtaining parental consent. While this is an important change, the bigger message is simple: when a young person needs support, help is available.

Please help spread the word about 988! Thank you for helping us make sure Idaho students know that they never have to wait until a crisis becomes a su***de crisis to reach out.

Yesterday, at the Valley View construction site, a gas pipe was inadvertently struck. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Thank you to all emergency and construction personnel for their quick response. Construction continues!

During school year: Provide STEM education at Naples Elementary, Monday - Thursday, and at 4-H Friday Friends on Fridays | During summer, provide day camps and robotics programs for children ages 5 - 14. Apply via QR code in image below, through University of Idaho Extension 4-H program.

- Service commitment: 900 hours

The Boundary County School District #101 Board of Trustees declared a vacancy on the board for Trustee Zone 3 as of May 30, 2026. Pursuant to ID Code 33-504, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by the Board of Trustees. The Board will conduct interviews of applicants prior to the appointment. The appointee shall complete the term vacated. There are approximately 1 year and 5 months of the four year term. After the completion of the term the appointee will need to run for election in the Trustee election to be held in November 2027. A complete description of Zone 3 can be seen at the District Office located at 6770 Augusta Street, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in the office of the County Clerk, or on the District web site at www.bcsd101.com/page/meet-our-trustees. The Board of Trustees are accepting letters of interest in completing the term for Zone 3 Trustee. The letters need to be turned in at the District Office no later than August 31, 2026. Our Summer hours are Monday - Thursday from 7 AM to 3 PM. For further information please call 208-267-3146.

Attention Parents and Guardians:
Idaho Public Schools are required by Idaho Code 33-1639 to observe a daily minute of silence. This notice is to inform you that beginning July 1, 2026 all BCSD #101 schools will observe one minute of silence at or near the beginning of each school day.
BCSD #101 encourages parents and guardians to offer direction to their child on silent reflection or activity to engage in during the minute of silence. Your child may sit quietly or engage in any silent activity that is consistent with school rules and District policy as long as it doesn’t distract or interfere with other students. Disruption of the minute of silence may result in disciplinary action in accordance with student behavior policy.
