Come learn about your local food system while celebrating women in ag with the 2026 Annual Food Summit! This year the food summit will take place on Friday, November 6th, 2026 9:00 am - 3:00 PM, at the Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center. EDIT; There has been some confusion on the time for this class. The fire class tomorrow will be at 1:00 PM, we had some sources that erroneously listed 10:00 am, and others that said 2:00 PM. Sorry for any confusion. The class is still going on and should have a great turn out!

We were struck with a particularly horrific fire season this year, highlighting the importance of fire awareness and safety in our community. Join us next Friday, October 2nd, at 1:00 PM for a class on how to reduce your home's fire risk here in Boundary County. Check out the North Idaho bear fair tomorrow 12-3 at the Boundary County Fair grounds! This is not an extension office event, but there will be lots of interesting events and information there for our clientele.

To help residents get ready, Idaho Fish and Game and its partners are hosting the free North Idaho Bear Fair from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, 6567 Recreation Park Road, Bonners Ferry.
