Join us for an interactive session exploring the shared values of 4-H and law enforcement!

Youth will discover how leadership, integrity, hands-on skill, and public service build stronger, safer communities. Meet local officers, learn about public safety careers, and discover how 4-H skills translate directly into real-world leadership and service.

Who Should Attend: Youth ages 8–13 interested in leadership, community service, or career exploration in public safety.

What to Bring/Wear: Standard 4-H attire / comfortable clothing for hands-on activities.

🎃👻 Get ready for Wilkes County’s BOO BASH! 👻🎃

Join us on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM for our Trick-or-Treat Trail!

Bring the family, dress up in your favorite Halloween costumes, and follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail to visit all 5 stops! Participating locations include the Health Department, EMS, Wilkes Government Office, Ag Center & Animal Shelter, and Sheriff’s Office. There will be plenty of Halloween fun along the way!

📍 Location: 126 Executive Drive, Wilkesboro, NC 28697

Guests can drive through or stop and participate along the way, so bring your kids and get ready for a spooktacular evening!

Both of the registration links for these events end tomorrow at 5pm, sign up today. The Farm, Field and Fur event payments need to be in the mail or in my hand by the end of the day tomorrow or your slot opens up for someone else.

If you are visiting the office around lunch time or before traveling a distance you may want to call ahead to make sure someone is in the office due to us being short staffed.

Make sure to be registered in 4-H Online!

We will be exploring the art and science behind growing a great pumpkin, venturing out into the field to look for insects, and learning about rabbit handling and showing. Join us for a day full of learning and fun! Ages 8–15. Space is limited, so please sign up as early as possible to secure your spot.

Do not forget about our pumpkin decorating contest!

We will have some donated pumpkins for youth at the office, while supplies last. You must pickup your pumpkin to decorate by 10/16/2026 no later than 5pm.
