Yesterday’s fire was quickly knocked down thanks to a rapid response from firefighters. Your local AVFD volunteers were on scene within minutes and immediately got to work. CAL FIRE also had a large and rapid response, including aircraft and helicopters.

It was a coordinated effort that brought the fire to a quick end, and thankfully, no structures were lost.

We want to give a special shout-out to the homeowner for having excellent fire-prevention measures in place. Those measures were critical and effective in protecting and saving the home.
