On October 15th I swore in Deputy Constable Justin Tolley. Although we did not receive the funding to have this position part time paid during budget, Deputy Tolley remains dedicated to stepping into the reserve program to benefit the citizens of Hutchinson County and that is commendable. So please help me welcome to the Constable PCT 2 office, Justin Tolley.

Please help me welcome to the Hutchinson County Constable PCT 2 office, Jessika Sanders. Jessika will be serving in the new clerk position for the Constables office. This is an essential function of the Constables office to run both efficiently and effectively. Although this will only be a part time position we are hopeful that this brings better services to the constituents of Hutchinson County. I am excited and grateful for the much needed position.

The Salary Grievance hearing link will be posted in the comments please let me know if you cannot see it. The vote was 5-3 for the salary increase so the recommendation will be passed to the Commissioners to vote on September 14th during the budget workshop.

The Commissioners meeting will take place 09/14/2026 at 9:30.

I want to thank the private citizens who took the time to be on the board and those who came to speak at the hearing.

I also want to thank my fellow Elected officials who also served on the committee I hate that y'all had to be in the position but I appreciate your time.

With all of the things going on I almost forgot to post my Constable birthday 🎊🎂 4 years ago today I was appointed into the Hutchinson County Constable PCT 2 office, then elected into office and have been your Elected Constable since! Thank you for the years of support and love that this county has shown me. I am truly blessed with great constituents and coworkers that make my job just a little more fun👮🏽‍♀️

Your Constable in Pct 2 is moving to a salary grievance hearing. I requested that this committee be made up of nine members of the public, and this was voted against by some commissioners of the court, Gary Alexander, Dwight Kirksey and Cindy Irwin.

This is a problem all across the State and I'm sure the US, but we need to be offering competitive wages for good qualified officers. Look into your city or county and see what your officers are making, it's honestly very sad. Speak out and support your local law enforcement.

In Gregg County, Chief Deputy Craig Harrington said their biggest obstacles are with funding and salaries.
