Happy Pride Month, Boston!

Today, we joined community members, advocates, and allies at City Hall Plaza for the annual Pride flag raising, marking the beginning of a month dedicated to celebration, visibility, and solidarity.

Pride began as a riot in 1969. Born from resistance against police brutality and injustice, and that spirit still lives on. The LGBTQIA2S+ community is still here, still proud, and not going anywhere.

This month, we celebrate those contributions while recommitting ourselves to the work of building a more inclusive future for all.

And the celebration continues!

Join us this Saturday, June 6, at 12:00 PM in Copley Square as we march together in the Boston Pride Parade. We hope to see you there! 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Happy Pride, Boston.

I was so glad to celebrate our Boston Public Schools’ valedictorians today! Smart, driven, community-oriented, Americans, immigrants, first in their families to graduate high school, families full of valedictorians - our graduates are so diverse, make us proud, and will continue to make us proud in their next steps!
