Bridge Over Troubled Waters is the lead agency for the National Safe Place Network in Eastern Massachusetts. The Department of Youth Engagement & Employment and the Mayor's Office of Food Access will be hosting Plant The City on May 18th, 2019. This youth civic engagement impact project will provide Boston's youth with informational and hands-on experience on how to access healthy food options and Urban Farming in their neighborhoods.
Youth volunteers will support this summer’s harvest by planting fruits and vegetables in Boston’s local farms and gardens. Volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, swag, and service hours. Volunteer slots are limited-share this opportunity with a youth today!

Cummings Foundation awards Bridge a Sustaining Grant
Bridge has been awarded a $300,000 Sustaining Grant to be disbursed over 10 years As a previous $100K for 100 awardee, Bridge was invited to be considered for a 10-year sustaining grant from Cummings Foundation. The funding will help support our emergency services for homeless, runaway, and at-risk

Homeless resources for cold weather
The City of Boston has been working closely with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Continuum of Care agencies to respond proactively to the health, safety, and care needs of homeless people, especially in extreme cold weather conditions.

All BCYF centers will be open tomorrow, Monday, March 4, from 7:30am to 6pm for our Snow Day Drop-in Program. Parents with kids ages 7-12 need to fill out a short intake form at drop-off. More info at http://Boston.Gov/BCYF

Our Mobile Medical Van, the first program of its kind in the nation, connects with youth in need. The van is a national model for providing critical care: medical attention, survival kits, clothes, and referrals to services at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and other agencies.

The holiday season at Bridge
