MAURICE JESTER is excited to have two Coast Guard Academy cadets joining us for the summer. The cadets will get hands on training with the crew, obtain qualifications, and learn what life is like on a FRC!
First class cadet Jacob Vecchio comes from Southington, CT. Cadet Vecchio plays football for the Coast Guard Academy and can even do a split!
First class cadet Charles Fish is from Little Silver, NJ but used to live in Sidmouth, England. Cadet Fish plays soccer for the Coast Guard Academy. Welcome aboard!

This afternoon, MAURICE JESTER held quarters to discuss plans and goals for the next couple of weeks. We also welcomed SN Jackson and FN Palmisano to the ship!

Today marks the last day of Women’s History month. The crew consists of 5 women who serve on the cutter. The Commanding Officer, LT Netusil, CS1 Cohen, MK2 Latourette, BM3 Krouse, and our newest addition FN Palmisano.

FN Palmisano comes from Virginia and is very excited to begin her coast guard career. She hopes to pursue becoming a MST. Welcome to the fleet!

MAURICE JESTER has been hard at work in Key West, FL! On March 2nd, the crew accepted their cutter and began living onboard full time. With only 2 weeks left here, we will be continuing training and making sure the ship is ready to head home to Boston!

Hello Facebook! The crew of MAURICE JESTER has entered week 6 of training here in Lockport, LA. With only one week left, we will apply what we have learned by conducting Dockside and Underway training. The cutter then travels to Key West for the next phase in the Pre Commissioning process.
