🎉Celebrate the launch of Boston’s newest Double Up store on Thursday, August 14th!🎉 The event will take place at 📍Nubian Markets, 2565 Washington St in Roxbury, on August 14th from 4-6pm. Nubian Markets in Roxbury has joined the Boston Double Up Food Bucks Program, and all customers paying with SNAP now receive a 50% discount on fresh fruits and vegetables when they use their EBT card, saving up to $20 per day.🍅🥕💰 Enjoy refreshments courtesy of Nubian Markets’ cafe, hear from community leaders, and learn more about food access resources!

🎉 What an amazing start to Summer Eats! 🎉

We had a blast at our kick-off event last Friday in East Boston celebrating healthy and FREE meals for kids and teens across Boston! It was so wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the sunshine and delicious food.

Huge thanks to our incredible partners: Paris Street Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) Boston Public Schools FNS team, YMCA of Greater Boston Project Bread and Puppet Showplace Theater for the amazing puppet show that brought so much joy and laughter to our young attendees! 🎭Thanks to State Senator Lydia Edwards, State Rep Adrian Madaro, City Councilor Gabriella Coletta Zapata, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley’s office, Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance - DTA and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for joining us.

The Office of Food Justice is committed to making sure every child has access to good food this summer. Remember, free meals are available for all youth 18 and under!
