🌈 At BSC, a strong workplace culture isn't built despite our differences — it's built because of them.
We believe every employee deserves to come as they are. When people feel genuinely seen and respected, they bring their whole thinking to the table. That's how better decisions get made. 💡
Through our Pride Team, community conversations, and everyday allyship, we're committed to making that real.🌟
“No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us."
— Micah Bazant. (This quote is often attributed to the revolutionary, trans, q***r activist Marsha P. Johnson, but was actually written by artist and activist Micah Bazant, who has since embraced the way it has traveled the world in her name and spirit.)

Wetlands have the best hidden stories. 🌿
A frog call.
A turtle sighting.
A heron in the shallows.
A beaver quietly redesigning the whole place.
As American Wetlands Month comes to a close, we’re celebrating the muddy boots, field notes, plant IDs, wildlife sightings, and small clues that help us understand these living systems.

It’s almost World Turtle Day! 🐢
May 23 is all about celebrating turtles and protecting the places they call home.
At BSC, turtle sightings are always a fieldwork highlight. But our love for turtles goes beyond the cute photos, it shows up in the work we do to protect wetlands, restore habitats, support rare species review, and monitor sensitive environments.
Here’s to the slow movers, sun baskers, and tiny reminders that habitat protection matters. 💚

Earlier this month, we joined the Town of Andover to celebrate the Haggetts Pond Rail Trail. This project expands opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience and enjoy the beautiful natural landscape of Haggetts Pond.
BSC supported the Town from securing MassTrails funding through planning, design, permitting, and construction administration, including:
✅MESA compliance with full-time on-site monitoring to protect a wildlife populations
✅Stormwater upgrades at the new southern trailhead parking area to enhance
runoff treatment to the Town’s drinking water supply.
✅Safer pedestrian crossing with an RRFB on Haggetts Pond Road.
Congratulations to the Town of Andover and all project partners for bringing this from concept to completion.

🌿 Advancing Equitable Climate Adaptation 🌊
Join BSC at the 7th National Adaptation Forum in Pittsburgh, PA.
As summers grow hotter, public spaces like bus stops are becoming critical points of exposure to extreme heat across Greater Boston. Wicked Cool Mystic focuses on addressing these challenges through equitable, data-informed design.
BSC’s Catarina Martinez and Mackenzie Morrison will present at the forum, sharing how a multi-municipal effort is translating climate data and community insight into actionable cooling solutions for urban heat islands.
