Less than 24 hours away from welcoming our K1 and K2 students tomorrow!
Beginning at 9:20 am, ONLY K1 and K2 students/families will meet outside by the playground! Please make sure to line up by classroom behind the orange cones (Teacher Names are on each cone). If you are unsure of your child's teacher, we will have many staff members on hand to direct you!
Please utilize street parking (opposite side of Norfolk Street, Middleton Street, Hildreth Street etc.) if you plan on attending the welcome outside. The parking lot is for staff only and is unfortunately too small to accommodate our families.
1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students will either go downstairs for breakfast or straight to class!
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

The 2nd graders in Ms. Ferdinand's class working hard on editing their books about Schools around the world for their Publishing Party!
Tuesday November 8th is Election Day! For those of you who don't know, our school is a polling location for the community and voting takes place in our cafeteria. We are anticipating a higher number of individuals coming to the Shaw to vote throughout the day.
Nothing is more important than the safety and security of our students. To ensure this during Tuesday's election, the following will occur:
* Basement Level will be off limits to students, unless they are accompanied by a P.A. Shaw Staff Member.
* Breakfast and Lunch will take place in the classrooms.
* Classroom Areas (Main Floor and Top Floor) will be off limits to the public.
* Individuals looking to vote will enter through the back door and directly into our cafeteria.
A police officer will be present during voting to ensure safety and point voters in the appropriate direction.
Last but not least, don't forget to vote! There are many things at stake in this election--locally and nationally. Do not underestimate or minimize the impact of your vote! Your vote matters for our children and our community.
