It’s ! Meet Meredith, our Director of Programs 👋

Meredith oversees the Bilingual Boost Initiative—a new, multi-year foundational literacy program to strengthen how children learn to read in multilingual classrooms across sub-Saharan Africa.

She brings deep expertise to the role: Meredith previously directed foundational learning programs at RTI International and World Learning and consulted for the Global Partnership for Education, working alongside ministries of education across East and Southern Africa. She also completed her doctoral research in Ethiopia as a Fulbright scholar.

This year, Luminos marks 10 years of helping the most marginalized children experience joyful, foundational learning.

Through the , we’ve helped thousands of out-of-school children catch up fast—going from not recognizing letters to reading short stories in a single year. We’ve also worked alongside governments to strengthen schools so all children can learn effectively, and shared what works through open resources and training.
