We are excited to announce Eric Silberzweig as JVS Boston's new Chief Financial Officer!

Previously having served as CFO of several nonprofit organizations around Greater Boston, Eric has been instrumental at expanding support for adults with disabilities and other community-based nonprofit organizations around New England.

We are so grateful to have him join JVS Boston and support us on our shared mission to expand accessible job training for more communities in Greater Boston!

Thank you to our friends at Jordan's Furniture for partnering with us for our September job-readiness coaching session!

We were thrilled to host over 25 career seekers from Grow Associates, Inc., MassHire Downtown Boston, House of Possibilities, and high schools around Greater Boston at the Brockton Community Career Initiative (BCCI) to discuss interview skills and seasonal opportunities at Jordan's Enchanted Village for workers with disabilities.

We are so grateful for organizations like Jordan's that continue to invest in creating opportunities and accessibility in the workplace for everyone.

Yesterday the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Persons with Disabilities held a National Disability Employment Awareness Month Celebration and honored JVS's own Senior Manager of Disability Services Micah Fleisig as a 2026 Employment Support Champion!

Since joining JVS in 2011, Micah has served an instrumental role in advancing our Disability Services to where it is today. From his contributions toward building our partnerships with House of Possibilities and Old Colony YMCA to expand career development opportunities for individuals with disabilities to coaching and encouraging countless Disability Service clients along their professional journeys, Micah has left a profound impact on making workplaces more disability-inclusive across Massachusetts.

He shared: "There hasn't been a job where I have felt more complete. This is one where I can commit to the service of others."

We are so grateful for you, Micah, and all of the honorees for your advocacy for workers with disabilities in the Commonwealth! And thank you to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Persons with Disabilities, keynote speaker Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, and co-moderators Commissioners Rachel Stanton and Carl Richardson for an unforgettable event at the Massachusetts State House.

Thank you to our friends at Citizens who recently volunteered with our Refugee Staff! Volunteers led mock job interviews and helped JVS clients with resume building and searching for open roles. We are so grateful for volunteers who believe in this work and show up to support the people we serve.

Last week we had a blast at Life Science Cares Boston's Mini Golf for Good Tournament!

It was a great event with hundreds of life sciences professionals and LSC's nonprofit partners engaged in a friendly but fierce mini golf competition in Tech Square. LSC raised over $100,000!

JVS Boston recently met with Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Metrowest to collaborate on the expansion of our Ready for Success partnership!

Through this program, job seekers work with JVS Career Navigators to set career advancement goals and map out individualized plans for skills training and job placement.
