DA Hayden had a great time joining BPS students and Cory McCarthy, Angie Camacho and the whole 6-Won-7 crew for a day filled with sports, wellness and community as part of their Spring 2026 programming.

This weekend, Boston Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr. made the ultimate sacrifice while doing the job he loved and serving the people of Boston with courage and dedication.

Today, we honor not only his commitment to protecting our communities as a firefighter, but also his proud service to our country. Robert lived a life defined by duty, sacrifice, and service to others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, loved ones, and all of our brothers and sisters in the Boston Fire Department during this incredibly difficult time.

On this Memorial Day, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Today, we pay special tribute to Major David S. Connolly. Major Connolly served as a prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office before returning to active duty in service of his country. Tragically, on April 6, 2005, he was killed while serving during Operation Enduring Freedom.

His courage, commitment, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We honor his memory and extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served and sacrificed for our nation. 🇺🇸

DA Hayden was honored to attend the Embrace Honors Harry Hom Dow Inaugural AANHPI 2026 Program, celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Harry Dow - Massachusetts’ first Chinese American lawyer and one of 69 Freedom Heroes memorialized at the 1965 Freedom Plaza.

During the program, DA Hayden had the privilege of introducing Harry Dow’s son, Frederick Hom Dow, as one of this year’s seven honorees recognized for his civic leadership and intergenerational impact within the AANHPI community.

SCDAO staff were proud to stand alongside our friend and colleague, Roderick Dow - a dedicated member of our office for more than 20 years - as we reflected on and celebrated his father’s legacy.

We were happy to host students from the Roxbury Latin School this week for RL@Work, a program that offers off-campus learning experiences through workplace visits. The students met with alumni in our office and learned about the many career paths and opportunities available at SCDAO.

From briefs to boxes: DA Hayden and members of our Appeals Unit recently volunteered at the and helped pack 9,000 meals for families in need.

DA Hayden and our staff had a great time engaging with community members this weekend at the 24th Annual Haitian American Unity Parade, celebrating the culture, heritage, and vibrant spirit of the Haitian community together.

DA Hayden and our staff spent this month celebrating Mother’s Day across several neighborhoods, sharing meaningful moments while honoring all the mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers who strengthen our communities every day.

DA Hayden joined elected officials and community members at the Haitian Flag Day celebration to honor Haiti’s history and the growing contributions of Haitian and Haitian American communities across the city.
