NO NEW TAXES; just bring back the old ones! (But, of course, taxes were higher under Reagan/Bush.

Recognizing that:
• President Obama and the current Congress have established tax rates that are far from the Reagan/Bush era -- we should get back to Reagan era rates at the very least;
• the Tea Party, while evoking the name of Ronald Reagan and Taxes, has FAILED to roll back tax rates to levels approved by Reagan/Bush;

The validity of the public debt of the United States... shall not be questioned.
The Tea Party questions the public debt and may well block Treasury's ability to pay Congress' bills. First rule for Congress when tightening it's purse strings - ensure they are not wrapped around America's neck.
When Congress fails to negotiate a budget, they pass a ‘continuing resolution’ -- they agree to simply spend what they spent last year. Perhaps a tweak here to stop funding to an expired program, or a bit more there to address an emerging issue. But overall, same-same.
This year, the House GOP sent the Senate a continuing resolution. Tweak-tweak, same-same. Well, except, they cut out a huge chunk. Oh, and they change a law they couldn't get enough votes to change by normal democracy. But otherwise same-same.
This is how one makes a continuing resolution into continuing constipation.

Stop Coddling the Super-Rich We mega-rich should not continue to get extraordinary tax breaks while most Americans struggle to make ends meet.
Isn't it appalling that Congressmen make more than Rush Limbaugh? Of course, there are 435 of them ... and its not a lot more.
