The Boston Self Help Center is looking for volunteers to support adaptive recreation programs for people with disabilities at the Tobin Community Center!

π― Boccia (Wheelchair Bocce)
π 2 Saturdays/month | 3:30β5 PM

π RC Car Program
π Weekdays | ~2β4 PM (1β2x/month)

Boston Self Help Center has a small grant to introduce remote control cars to people with disabilities. Interested?

Nothing but great competition this weekend at the second annual LECLAIRE invitational Power soccer tournament that we hosted at Wentworth Institute for technology. Thank you to all five teams that participated and congratulations to CNY United on the tournament victory.

Free Power Wheelchair Soccer Referee Training
Boston Self Help Center will be hosting a referee training Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 at Wentworth Institute for technology in Boston. Referees earn $30 per hour per game. The game is played on an indoor basketball court, four on four.
Those taking the training will become certified and the certification $50 fee for those in the Boston area will be paid for by the nonprofit.

Some great soccer last Saturday, March 7 and this Saturday, March 14 taking place both at the Tobin community center and up in Durham New Hampshire. If you're in Boston, come to 1481 Tremont St. in Roxbury and watch the BRAKERS team take on the wildcats from New Hampshire 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. If you're up in New Hampshire, catch the Commonwealth cruisers take on the New Hampshire Thundercat 11 AM to 1 PM.
