Simmons Vets: The Student Veterans of America Chapter at Simmons University

Our Story

Our chapter formed in January of 2017 by military veterans in the Masters in Social Work (MSW) program. We became an official chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA) on 2/28/2017.

While our chapter exists primarily for student veterans, we welcome all students and staff at Simmons University (online or onground): who specifically want to work with, care for, or advocate on behalf of the veteran population.

Section 1. Eligibility. Membership shall fall into the following three categories:

Active. Any student enrolled in at least one credit with Simmons University who is a veteran, reservist, National Guard, or active duty service member. Enrollment applies to all undergraduate, graduate, campus, and online programs associated with Simmons University.
