Yesterday, I stopped by downtown Plymouth with Representative Michelle Badger to meet the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) bus on the last day of its 20 day cross-country trip. The purpose of its journey was to raise awareness and education about lobular breast cancer, a barely understood cancer that affects 50,000 women in the US yearly and doesn’t form lumps or have a specific treatment. I am happy to support the LBCA which raises awareness and educates, has created scientific and patient boards, has created a comprehensive website (lobularbreastcancer.org) virtual support groups, and funded grants for research. I was pleased to cosponsor a bill filed by Representative Badger to make October 15th Lobular Brest Cancer Awareness Day in the Commonwealth.

✔️ VOTE YES FOR EMERGENCY SCHOOL AID! Education Association of Plymouth-Carver President Tom Pinto hand-delivered more than 178 handwritten postcards from Plymouth educators calling for legislators to pass the $100M Fair Share Supplemental Budget to State Rep. Michelle Badger and State Rep. Kathy LaNatra.

🏫 These funds would provide public school districts with an additional $112 in per student aid above and beyond their baseline Chapter 70 aid for FY27. This appropriation would come directly from the Fair Share funds that MTA members led the fight to win. (Go to the link in the comments to learn more.)

I am proud to share that Massachusetts Voters for Animals has endorsed my campaign for reelection! This organization is part of the bigger animal protection movement that fights every day to enact laws and policies in our state that protect animals, which is personal for me as the mother of three dogs.

I am proud to share that the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 144 has endorsed my campaign for reelection! This union has represented firefighters in the City of Brockton since 1918 and works hard to ensure that its members have access to fair wages, proper equipment, and other necessary resources to serve and protect communities.
