Friday, I joined State Representative Paul Donato and other state and local leaders to attend the North Shore Housing Executive Directors Association annual legislative breakfast, alongside the City of Malden (Official) Housing Authority and its Executive Director, Steve Finn. We had the opportunity to discuss NSHEDA's legislative priorities, the current state of housing authorities in the Commonwealth, and FY27 state budget initiatives. The breakfast also included conversation with Massachusetts NAHRO. I look forward to continuing to work with local housing authorities and my legislative colleagues to continue to prioritize housing stability.

ATTN : The City of Malden (Official) has been awarded $11,315,000, the Town of Wakefield, MA - Government has been awarded $6,600,000, and the City of Melrose - City Government has been awarded $75,000 through the FY27 Community One Stop for Growth grant program. I’m thrilled to see all three municipalities in the 32nd Middlesex District benefit this year from One Stop for Growth grants, with more than $17 million being invested across our District. The vast majority of this State funding will support our local efforts to address the Commonwealth's housing affordability crisis and unlock roughly 750 new homes. Additionally, these competitive dollars will enhance downtown revitalization, small business entrepreneurship, and the use of municipal assets. This program remains a testament to the power of strong state-local partnerships.
