❗Now Recruiting: Supporting Child Development Starting with Newborn Hearing Screening – An AAP ECHO Program.

Join us for a program focused on enhancing skills in child development!

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) invites all providers who care for young children, including those in primary care, subspecialists, audiologists, speech language pathologists, and other early interventionists to join the Supporting Child Development Starting with Newborn Hearing Screening Echo Program. This ECHO will focus on increasing the knowledge, confidence, and capacity of providers to collaborate across the EHDI system to better serve D/HH children and their families.

Participants will learn how to:

• Support developmental outcomes of children after their newborn hearing screening
• Support screening for hearing beyond the newborn period • Address the unique needs of infants who are D/HH due to congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) and their families
• Collaborate with multiple different clinicians and system partners
• Engage in peer-to-peer connections with other professionals and lived expertise partners

Each ECHO session will include a live American Sign Language interpreter and other necessary accommodations, such as closed captioning, to ensure all learners can fully participate.

This ECHO series will be held on a monthly basis, with sessions from October 2026 through February 2027, all scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month at 12 p.m. CT/1 p.m. ET.
