America's oldest county fair has the traditional event down to a T, and offers guests a broad menu of New England tastes, sights, sounds, and animal experiences. Animal events include a horse show, horse and oxen pulls, a petting zoo, and more. Agriculture abounds here; you'll find the New England Giant Pumpkin Contest on October 3, a farm museum, and an autumn flower show. The midway features amusement rides, live performances by regional musicians, and concessions. Hundreds of food, craft, and art vendors will satisfy just about any taste. Try New England fruit, veggies, specialty foods, and farm products -- Yum!
