This is a visual representation of how these mayoral candidates are NOT for the people. As we envision what our great city should embody we must also see what they have in store for our youth and our prosperity in our communities in having a safe and healthy relationship with our neighborhoods. Put pressure on our City Councilors and sign up to be a part of the action!

Join us making our voices are heard by calling City Hall during our phone jam. Together, we'll be demanding the change we need to have a better community as a whole. The police budget needs to decrease. The money should go to our communities and providing resources. Our current officials are very self-serving and not for the people. We must make sure our voices are heard. Sign up at defundboscops.org/signup to make phone calls!

Happy Juneteenth! YJPU is part of the Defund Boscops Coalition and committed to long term Black liberation work. Today, it means bringing you receipts straight from Boston Police Department’s mouth and sharing freedom demands. It reaffirms why in a recent poll by Emancipated Group & Poll Progressive, 60% of Black and Latinx voters (and half of all voters) believe we should cut BPD’s budget.

We are challenging the City Council and Mayor, who remain largely complicit, to take action on our demands. We are growing a people centered, popular movement nevertheless. Watch & share our video, visit bit.ly/DefundAction, & join us!

CALL THE MAYOR TODAY! The Mayor is announcing limiting cuts to the police but nowhere near the 10% we are asking for. We are still millions short of our $15 million youth jobs demand, and the Mayor backed out of a promise to meet with young people.
