BPD Community Alert: Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Efforts to Identify Two Individuals in Relation to a Larceny Investigation in Jamaica Plain

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to identify the individuals shown in the accompanying images as it relates to an ongoing larceny investigation in Jamaica Plain.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the initial incident are as follows:

At approximately 5:42 PM on Friday, October 9, 2026, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a larceny report in the area of 3160 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated at approximately 7:40 PM on October 8, an unknown male and female entered the restaurant and purchased food. The victim stated the two individuals stole a tip jar as well as straws and napkins.

Detectives assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact District E-13 Detectives at (617) 343-5628.

Kicking off a new school year together!

Officers from District C-6 (South Boston) joined the Perry School community for a barbecue, spending time with students, families, and faculty as everyone welcomed the start of another school year.

It was a great afternoon filled with food, smiles, and plenty of time to connect with the Perry School community. To cap off the day, the kiddos got to take a behind the scenes look at a BPD cruiser.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference!

Members of the BPD Command Staff and officers from across the Youth Violence Strike Force and Districts B-2, B03 and C-11, joined students at the Pope John Paul II Lower Mills Campus to put together ‘Blessing Bags’ for community members who might be experiencing homelessness.

Each bag included prayers, drawings, and handwritten notes created by students and officers together. Our officers will keep the bags in their cruisers to share with those in need who they might meet while out on patrol.

This meaningful partnership of the officers and students has continued for more than five years. This is Community Policing in action with the youngest among us leading the way!

Reminder to the Public to Utilize Safe Exchange Zones Located Inside Boston Police Stations.

As the number of residents buying and selling goods online continues to increase and grow, so too do the potential risks associated with these types of transactions, which can sometimes involve meeting a stranger in unfamiliar surroundings. In an effort to keep these arranged dealings as safe as possible, the BPD is introducing designated “Safe Exchange Zones” at every Boston Police District Station across the city, as well as at BPD Headquarters. These areas are monitored via security video and available 24 hours a day.

Pumpkins, pizza, and time with our neighbors!

Officers from District C-6 joined seniors at Castle Cove Apartments in South Boston for an afternoon of pumpkin decorating.

The group got creative with their autumn decorations, enjoyed some pizza, and shared conversations about plans for the upcoming holiday season.

It was a great way to welcome the season and connect with the South Boston community!

Over a warm cup of coffee, officers had the opportunity to connect with faith leaders, community members to share conversations, and strengthen the relationships that help build a safer and stronger community.

BPD in the Community: Officers assigned to District E-13 in Jamaica Plain partnered with First Emanuel Hispanic Baptist Church for a Faith & Blue-inspired Coffee with a Cop event.

Officers and community members gathered over coffee, shared stories, and enjoyed meaningful conversations that helped strengthen the bonds between law enforcement and those we proudly serve. The day wrapped up with some music, fellowship, and plenty of smiles! 🎶☕️

Faith & Blue is a national Initiative to strengthen police-community bonds. The Boston Police Department has been an engaged, supportive and participating partner since 2022. Faith-based partnerships are a powerful motivator to addressing violence, quality of life issues and building trust.

Mattapan Officers Recovered a Fi***rm Following a Foot Chase

About 10:50 PM, while on directed patrol in the area of Talbot Avenue and Mallard Avenue, officers observed an altercation occurring in the middle of the street. A motor vehicle was seen idling in front of 16 Mallard Avenue, with multiple individuals surrounding the car.

One of the individuals was seen to reach under his zip-up hoodie and retrieved an unknown item from under his left armpit. A second suspect simultaneously began to reach towards his midsection and pin an object against his body. The group took notice of officers’ presence and took off in a full sprint.

A foot chase ensued, and officers were able to apprehend Jean-Little in the rear of 86 Southern Avenue. The suspect was placed into handcuffs, and officers observed that he was not wearing any shoes. The second suspect and involved vehicle were able to flee the scene.

Officers began to search the flight path of the first suspect, and recovered a fi***rm, a pair of shoes, and a cellphone in the driveway of 16 Mallard Avenue. Detectives responded to the scene and processed the fi***rm which was determined to be a Ta**us Millennium with one round in the chamber and two rounds in a magazine capable of holding thirty rounds. The fi***rm was also equipped with a light attachment.

Jean-Little was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:

▪️Possession of am******on without an FID card
▪️Possession of a large capacity fi***rm
▪️Carry a fi***rm without a license, second offense
▪️Possession of a fi***rm without an FID card, subsequent offense

BPD Community Alert: Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in a Trespassing Investigation

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals in the accompanying images in connection with an ongoing trespassing investigation.

At approximately 6:38 PM on Monday, September 7, 2026, building security video shows four individuals entering the parking garage at 680 Atlantic Avenue. Preliminary investigation indicates they went through an unlocked service corridor door and up a stairwell to the 52nd floor. Two more individuals followed the same route shortly after and covered a security camera with a jacket before entering the floor.

Investigators believe the first group stayed for about 45 minutes and the second for about 90 minutes. Both groups are believed to have left through a stairwell leading down toward the Amtrak terminal level.

Detectives assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information about the identity of these individuals is strongly urged to contact District A-1 Detectives at (617) 343-4571

Wrapping up Faith & Blue Week, the Captain and Community Service Officers of District C-11 enjoyed coffee, pastries, and great conversation with members of the Chua Luc Hoa Buddhist Center on Park Street in Dorchester.

Faith & Blue week aims to strengthen existing relationships and build upon new partnerships among the faith based communities we serve. Thank you to all at the Buddhist Center for welcoming us and for being valued members of our community! 💙☕🥐
