Tomorrow come join us to create your very own red cards and zines to learn about your citizenship rights! Make and take as many as you need.

What are red cards?

All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The ILRC's red cards give examples of how people can exercise these rights. However, they do not provide individualized legal advice.

Join us tomorrow for a lion dance performance with Gund Kowk!

Gund Kwok, which means heroine in Cantonese, symbolizes women’s power and strength. Traditionally, women’s power, strength and intelligence have been unacknowledged and hidden from public view. An old Chinese saying, “A heroine will not admit defeat to the hero” expresses women’s hidden power.

Please note that children's events at the Parker Hill Branch are cancelled for February 25th, 2026. Preschool story time will resume next Wednesday, March 4th; the Pokémon Scavenger Hunt will be rescheduled to a later date. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you to everyone who came to speak and listen about banned books and the importance of LGBTQ+ voices with respect to our history, our present, and our future. It was a pleasure and an honor to hear all these perspectives and to learn why diverse stories matter 🌈
