Join us in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at the State Library! On July 1, 11:00-1:00, the Special Collections Department will be displaying our copy of the Declaration, along with a number of our Revolutionary period broadsides. Come see these original documents up close and in person. Visitors will also be able to check out "Raising the Alarm," our new Revolutionary broadside exhibit!

Our new exhibit for the 250th is coming soon, so there's limited time left to see our Halifax exhibit! Visit through June 17 to see "From the Good People of Massachusetts" which uses the records of the Massachusetts-Halifax Relief Committee to tell the story of the 1917 Halifax Explosion, the resilience of the people of Halifax, and the goodwill of the people of Massachusetts. Today is ! 🦦 While our library doesn’t specialize in all-things otters, we do have this Otter River State Park hiking trail guide. This 1982 guide starts out with some general information about this trail, and moves on to describe some of the plants and animals you’ll see if you were to hike there.
