This mission didn’t begin yesterday.

During the Yom Kippur War, APF volunteer physicians and nurses were deployed to Israel to support civilian hospitals during national crisis.

Fifty years later, history called again.

Following the attacks of October 7, APF reactivated its Emergency Medical Volunteer Registry in coordination with the Israeli Ministry of Health deploying forensic pathologists and preparing additional specialists to support Israel’s healthcare system during wartime.

Today, APF remains the only organization partnered with Israel to maintain a standing emergency medical volunteer roster.

Different war.
Same mission.

To ensure medical help is always one phone call away.

When Israel faces national crisis, APF activates.
APF is the only organization officially designated to maintain Israel’s Emergency Medical Volunteer Registry.

Right now, in response to the devastating loss of civilian life, APF is deploying forensic pathologists to Israel at the request of the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Additional specialties may soon be needed, including:
– Trauma surgeons
– Orthopedic surgeons
– Emergency specialists

This is not symbolic support.

This is operational medical readiness during war.

For more than 70 years, APF has ensured Israel can call upon licensed North American healthcare professionals when every second matters.

Follow to learn how medical readiness saves lives during crisis.

This is bigger than medicine.
This is about a global community that supports Israel.
People who:
– Show up
– Take responsibility
– Stand behind something that matters

APF exists because of that commitment.

Get involved if you believe in supporting Israel’s future.

Leadership in medicine isn’t given.
It’s built.
Through training.
Through experience.
Through exposure to real-world challenges.

APF helps shape the physicians who go on to lead Israel’s healthcare system.
Volunteer to see how the next generation is being prepared.

Most people think healthcare starts in the hospital.
It doesn’t.

It starts years before
in training, preparation, and leadership development.

For over 70 years, APF has helped build the foundation of Israel’s healthcare system by training the physicians who will lead it.

Because when crisis hits, it’s too late to prepare.

Follow to see how this mission impacts lives every day.
