June is Kindling Club Month at Hearth, and we want to celebrate some of the people who make our work possible every single day: our monthly donors.
The Kindling Club is the steady, reliable core of our mission. When a resident needs support on a Tuesday in March, or a family is on the edge of losing their housing on a Friday in November, consistent funding is what keeps our team there. Month after month, Kindling Club members provide the kind of stability our residents can count on.
This June, we're honoring that commitment. And if you've been thinking about joining, now is a great time: everyone who signs up as a monthly donor this month will receive a Hearth insulated cooler bag as our thank-you. Join the Kindling Club today at hearth-home.org/donatetoday.

In her May CEO Corner, Hearth President and CEO Rhonda Pieroni writes about what it means to use our voice on behalf of older adults. This spring, that meant showing up at the Massachusetts State House for Older Adult Lobby Day, standing alongside partners at Hebrew Senior Life ahead of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 12th, and learning that Hearth finished as the #1 fundraising partner across every Winter Walk city in the country. Advocacy is not separate from the housing work. It is how the housing work scales. Read the full message here: https://hearth-home.org/ceo-corner-your-voice-matters/

A huge thank you to Massachusetts for bringing the fun and the facts on Social Security to Anna Bissonnette House with a trivia event! Our residents had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of Social Security Income, Supplemental Security Income, and much more. We’re so grateful to AARP for equipping our residents with the information they need to navigate these crucial programs. Knowledge is power!

Hearth is honored to have participated in Boston’s The Winter Walk this past March. In only our second year of participation, Hearth stood out as the event’s top fundraising partner nationwide. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated and supported Team Hearth. Thank you to our dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and partner organizations.
Winter Walk unites thousands in solidarity with neighbors experiencing homelessness. It is a privilege to be part of this mission. We also thank all participants for raising critical funds and awareness, and we look forward to walking alongside this incredible community in our shared goal to end homelessness.

Dignity means having a door to close. A name someone knows. A plan that treats you like a person, not a problem to be solved. That’s what we work toward at Hearth — every day, for every resident.

Today, we remember and honor the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Wishing you a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and for older adults on the edge of housing stability, mental and physical health are rarely separate concerns. The fear of losing a home, the isolation of shelter life, the daily stress of living on a fixed income with no safety net: these are not just economic pressures. They take a real toll. At Hearth, we know that stable housing is the foundation everything else is built on. When our residents have a safe, quiet place to call their own, they can begin to heal. Hearth is the perfect place to use your VTO and make a tangible difference for our older adult residents. From assembling essentials kits to summer BBQ and games on the patio, your team can make an impact and help build our community together.
