YOUR voice can make a difference, Bothell! We want to hear from you to help shape future priorities and actions - take the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging community survey today: bit.ly/COBDEIB

We're working to build a community where everyone feels welcomed. Part of that work includes reviewing and updating our DEIB Roadmap. Join us at an informational open house on September 16 from 6:00 to 7:30pm (at Bothell City Hall) to learn more about the City's equity initiatives - We'll be taking a look at what we've already completed as well as our ongoing work.

You can also share your feedback to help us better understand our community’s needs and create a more equitable place to live, work, learn, and play: Take the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging community survey to share your experiences and help shape future priorities and actions.

Today we honored and celebrated Indigenous Peoples Day by gathering at Cascadia College to hear stories from Indigenous youth about leadership, solidarity, and hope.

We are so thankful for our partnerships with Cascadia College, University of Washington Bothell, Northshore School District, and Lake Washington School District for the opportunity to collaborate and connect with our local Indigenous and tribal communities 🙌

In case you missed it, the Northshore Community Health Hub is now open! We are so proud to partner with the Northshore YMCA and HealthierHere to make health and human services more accessible for everyone in our community.

Located at the Northshore YMCA Annex, the Community Health Hub offers no-cost, confidential support to Bothell residents including behavioral health services and resource navigation - No YMCA membership is needed to access services.

City leaders, community partners, and neighbors gathered last month to celebrate the opening of this valuable new community resource. We’re excited for the Hub to become a welcoming space where Bothell residents can access the support they need.

🚧 A reminder as you head into the weekend! 🚧 There's another round of full weekend closures for southbound I-405 in Bothell this weekend as part WSDOT's I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project. More details below and full details available on WSDOT's website: ttps://engage.wsdot.wa.gov/405-167-construction

🚧 WEEKEND TRAFFIC ALERT 🚧 WSDOT is preparing another round of full weekend closures for the southbound direction of I-405 in Bothell this weekend. This is part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project.

Here's what you need to know:
- Crews will close all lanes of southbound I-405 between State Route 527 to SR 522 starting at 10:00pm Friday, October 9 until 4:00am Monday, October 12
- Onramps/offramps in the work area will also be closed
- Detours will be in place

⚠️ Expect severe regional delays! Detour routes won't be able to handle normal I-405 traffic volumes, meaning significant congestion is likely on surrounding highways and local streets — especially in Canyon Park, North Creek, and Downtown Bothell. Drivers should follow official signed detours and avoid cutting through neighborhood streets. Signed routes are coordinated to help keep traffic moving and help preserve access for people who live and work in Bothell.

For more information about this project, visit:
- WSDOT's construction page at https://engage.wsdot.wa.gov/405-167-construction
- WSDOT's project page at: https://wsdot.wa.gov/construction-planning/search-projects/i-405sr-522-vicinity-sr-527-express-toll-lanes-improvement-project

🔔 Sign up for news and alerts to stay informed: https://engage.wsdot.wa.gov/405-167-construction. There will be additional full I-405 closures through Bothell the weekend of October 30, and the weekend of November 6.

That's right, Bothell! Council in the Community returns this month for another opportunity to chat with your City Councilmembers, ask questions, share feedback, and learn more about City services and priorities!

While we would love it if the whole community joined City Council meetings, we get it - they aren't everyone's cup of tea. So this event series provides an extra opportunity for the Bothell City Council to come to YOU and chat with you directly over coffee and community 💬

This time we will be hanging out with our friends at the Northshore Senior Center - All are invited to join us on Saturday, October 24 from 10:00am to noon to chat with members of your City Council and your neighbors (did we mention there will be coffee? ☕️).
