BCPD is asking for the public's assistance in a recent theft case. This morning between 3:42 and 4:02 am in the area of Shoshone Way, this individual decided to help themselves to a pair of e-bikes from a residence where the owner had forgotten to close their garage over night.

If you happen to recognize the person seen in the video, or you may have information on the location of the 2 bikes that were stolen, Please call BCPD and ask to speak with Officer Oliver or a Detective reference case 26BC1436.

We are generously offering the reward of gratitude from the owner should his e-bikes be recovered.

Also, as a friendly reminder to the public. Please remember to also double check that your vehicle doors are locked, your garage is shut and your house doors are locked when you go to bed or will not be home. The majority of thefts occur from opportunities of unsecured items.

Please see the comments for pictures of the actual e-bikes that were stolen and call BCPD if you see them around town.

BOULDER CITY… IT’S ALMOST TIME.

National Night Out is coming, and apparently simply hanging out with our community wasn’t enough… so naturally we challenged Boulder City Fire Department to a softball game.

Tuesday, October 6 | 5–8 PM
Veterans Memorial Park

Come meet your police officers and firefighters, check out the police and fire vehicles, see the K-9s in action, tour a helicopter, let the kids burn off some energy, grab some In-N-Out, and enjoy a night with your Boulder City neighbors.

But let’s address the important part:

BATTLE OF THE BADGES — BCPD vs. BCFD — 6:00 PM

We’re not saying you need to pick a side.

We’re just saying there is a correct side.

Bring the family. Bring the neighbors. Bring your friends.

And Fire Department… bring your A-game.

Everyone is welcome and we can’t wait to see you there!

Tonight, City Council presented Boulder City Police Department Volunteers with a Certificate of Recognition for their efforts. The Boulder City Police Department’s “You Are Not Alone” (YANA) program is a FREE service conducted in partnership with the Boulder City Senior Center that allows older adults to have comfort and security in the knowledge that someone is checking in on them on a regular basis. Police Department Volunteers make regular contact with YANA participants both by phone and with home visits. The mission of the program is to promote peace of mind and security for Boulder City’s older adults living alone and their families. More information on the program can be found at www.bcnv.org/YANA.

Pet owners: just some quick reminders in the extreme heat.

Nevada Revised Statute 202.487 is aimed at the prevention of cruelty to animals and makes it illegal for a person to "allow a pet to remain unattended in a parked or standing motor vehicle if conditions, including, without limitation, extreme heat or cold, present a significant risk to the health and safety of the pet.”

And if you plan to walk your dog, remember that pavement retains heat and is much hotter than ambient temperatures!!

Today, the Boulder City Police Department joins law enforcement agencies across Southern Nevada in mourning the loss of a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer who was killed in the line of duty.

Our hearts are with the officer’s family, friends, and every member of the LVMPD family during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our thoughts to all first responders and those impacted by this tragedy.

Law enforcement is a profession built on service, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others. Today, we pause to honor an officer who gave everything in that service.

Please keep the officer’s loved ones and our neighboring agency in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest easy, we have the watch from here.
