Boulder County Clerk and Recorder / Boulder County Elections The Clerk and Recorder's office oversees three divisions: Elections, Motor Vehicle (vehicle titling, not drivers licenses), and Recording.

The Clerk and Recorder's Office is made up of three divisions: Elections, Motor Vehicle, and Recording. The Elections Division is responsible for registering voters, conducting all primary, general and county elections, and, when contracted, municipal and school district elections. The Motor Vehicle Division handles titling vehicles and issuing license plates on behalf of the Colorado Department of Revenue. The Recording Division issues and records marriage licenses, records all real estate transactions and similar transactions. Have you spotted our BRAND NEW “I Voted” stickers out in the wild yet? They were lovingly inspired by the amazing creatures that call Boulder County home.

We worked with local sticker printer Sticker Giant in Longmont to create brand new, high quality “I Voted” stickers that are snazzy enough to sport on your water bottle year-round!

What’s cooler than a turkey in a trucker hat? Or a moose in shades? A Boulder County voter, of course! Especially one who votes early! 🤩

So get voting and pick up your very own sticker at most drop boxes around the county. They’ll also be available at Vote Centers once they start opening on Oct. 19.

Boulder County Elections wants you to be an Election Champion!

As a trusted friend or neighbor, you can help answer people’s questions about elections – and we’ll train you. You don’t need to be an expert today to become an Election Champion this fall!

Boulder County Elections offers Election Champion Workshops to provide community members with accurate, reliable information about how elections are administered and how federal changes can affect local election processes. Consider these as an Elections 2.0 type of training, which will provide additional context about federal election activity, its potential impact on local election administration, and where to find reliable information if things change.

Election Champion Workshops begin this week. Students - ask teachers for extra credit to attend! Food provided. Space limited.

Do you have family and friends who live in other states? Many states have registration deadlines happening in the next few days. So NOW is time to ask them if they are registered to vote. If they are, you can also encourage them to check their registration to make sure they are all set to vote in the 2026 General Election.

It's always a great idea to check your own registration and encourage friends and family here in Colorado to check theirs, too. The good news is Colorado doesn't have a registration deadline, so folks can register and vote until Vote Centers close at 7 p.m. on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 3).

Find an out-of-state registration deadline:

Let's get this election started! Ballots for UOCAVA voters (military and overseas folks registered in Boulder County) drop TOMORROW - Sept. 18.

For the rest of us, ballots are mailing out a week earlier than in the past. A new election law went into effect in Colorado this year. So ballots will be mailed on Oct. 2 and hitting mailboxes beginning the week of Oct. 5.

Get ready to vote, BoCo!
