This National Boss’s Day, we’re recognizing the leaders behind Boulder Rural Fire Rescue who help guide our crews, support our members, and keep our department moving forward.

Leadership in the fire service goes beyond a title. It’s about setting the example, making tough decisions, building trust, holding each other accountable, and showing up for the people who show up for our community every day.

To the leaders of BRFR, thank you for the time, dedication, and commitment you pour into our department and the people who make it what it is. Strong crews don’t happen by accident ... they’re built through leadership, teamwork, and a shared commitment to serving others.

Today, we welcomed First Responder Trauma Services to Boulder Rural Fire Rescue for a presentation on peer support, clinical services, and the resources available to our members.

We’re grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to continue building our peer support team through training, clinical supervision, and access to additional wellness resources.

From clinical care to restorative services, these resources help support the mental and physical well-being of those who serve our communities.

Because taking care of our people matters, too. 🚒

Looking to become a confident, prepared, and responsible babysitter? Boulder Rural Fire Rescue is offering a Babysitting Class on December 5th! 🚒

This course is designed for youth ages 11–15 who want to learn the essential skills needed to safely care for infants and children.

What will students learn?

👶 Essential childcare skills for infants and children
❤️ Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid
🛡️ Safety practices and guiding children’s behavior
🌟 Leadership and responsibility
💼 How to start a babysitting business
🎓 Students who successfully pass the course will receive a 2-year American Heart Association Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certification card!

Parents, this one is for you! Fire Prevention Week is a great time to sit down with your kids and talk about what they would do if there were a fire in your home.

But instead of just talking about it… turn it into a scavenger hunt! 👀

Walk through your home together and see if your kids can find the things on our list.

It’s a simple way to help them learn their home, understand your family’s fire safety plan, and know what to do before an emergency happens.
