Kankakee County Animal Control Committed to preventing the spread of rabies, educating the public on animal health and welfare.

We are a governmental facility and our top priorities are public safety and rabies prevention. We are also committed and passionate about animal welfare and education. This page was created to highlight the adoptable animals, share success stories, and offer education tips on animal health and welfare. We welcome your comments and suggestions however; please refrain from using the Kankakee County Animal Control page to post negative comments about people or their opinions. We respect that animal welfare brings together people with many different perspectives and that disagreements are inevitable, but disrespect is not, This page is not about debating or disrespecting others, it is about getting adoptable animals the homes they deserve which we all agree is the ultimate goal. We will delete comments that do not contribute to the purpose of increasing adoptions.
