📦 Heads up, neighbors: holiday shipping season means peak-season surcharges!
Every year, FedEx and USPS add temporary peak-season fees to help them handle the holiday rush. These are set by the carriers, not by us, and our counter rates already include them, so there are no surprises at checkout.
Here's the quick timeline:
🎁 USPS peak adjustments are already in place and run through mid-January
🎁 FedEx's broader holiday fees start rolling in around Oct. 26, and the priciest stretch is usually Thanksgiving week through late December
A few easy ways to keep your shipping bill friendly:
✅ Ship early. Getting your gifts out before the busiest weeks can save you money (and stress!)
✅ Right-size the box. Carriers charge for size as well as weight, so a snug box often costs less than a big one with lots of empty space
✅ Stop in for a quote. We'll look at your package and walk you through your options. No pressure, just friendly help.
