On Thursday, October 22, Purples Soccer won the 4th Region Championship.
Warren Central protested the win on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

BGISD disagrees with Warren County and KHSAA’s ruling today, however, Purples Soccer will again try to win the 4th Region Championship tonight at The Pit at 6:30.
The Purples are playing tonight under protest to avoid forfeit while an appeal is pending.

The game will restart on the 6th kick of a sudden death shootout with Bowling Green leading 5-4.

GO PURPLES!

We started with clubs and interest groups, had a student-faculty volleyball match (the students won), and finished with a great pep rally.

Lab Day in Biology I!
What is the function of the liver and how does that relate to enzymes?
BGHS students tested chemical reactions with chicken liver enzymes. They observed hydrogen peroxide break down into water and oxygen, and tested both temperature and pH to see how the enzymes responded in different environments.

⚠️ Kitchen Crime Scene
After learning about safe kitchen practices, Culinary I students entered the lab to find a mock crime scene. Ms. Whitis challenged them to find more than 20 hazards and potential contamination in the kitchen areas. Students completed reports then wrote articles explaining what could have happened to their “victim.”
