Thank you to our board member Jessica Basham for representing the FOL on WNKY and talking about our book sale!

For this week’s Community Driven, brought to you by The Mint Gaming Hall, in studio, we are joined by Jessica Basham to talk about The Annual Book Sale for Friends of The Library.

We just wrapped up another great Book Sale! The Book Sale total for 2026 was $17,212.25! When you add memberships, our total impact for the week comes to $18,582.25. This money will go back into our community through WCPL programs like Summer and Winter Reading.

None of this would have been possible without our amazing volunteers who logged 712.25 hours from set up to clean up. We have such dedicated and impressive volunteers!

Thank you to our community for supporting the FOL and the Warren County Public Library. We love our community of readers!

We can’t wait to see everyone later this week!

Calling all book lovers, treasure hunters, and second hand shoppers! Don't forget that week is THE week for *bargains galore* at the Friends of the Library's annual Used Book Sale at the Bob Kirby Branch Library! The four-day sale can begin as early as Thursday if you are a current FOL member or want to sign up for membership to get early access between 4 and 8 p.m. The sale will then open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Then, whatever treasures haven't been claimed will be available Sunday, when one bag of books costs just one dollar -- but don't wait until then! Come early and shop often at the Kirby Branch, located behind Culver's at 175 Iron Skillet Court.

*bargains include books, puzzles, DVDs, CDs, LPs sheet music, educational materials and more!
