A chilly airmass combined with high pressure bringing light winds and mainly clear skies will set the stage for frost and freeze potential Saturday night into Sunday morning. Frost is looking increasingly likely away from the immediate lakeshore, with colder portions of the area potentially dipping below freezing.

Yesterday, the Wood County EMA hosted the OH726 Commodity Points of Distribution course sponsored by the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.

This course provides an in-depth look at how to best establish public distribution locations for life saving commodities (water, ice, food) should a disruption occur.

It was well attended by individuals in and outside of Wood County, and the instructors shared with us their real-world experiences and best practice recommendations.

You can see by the photos that we spent some of the time learning the basics and reviewing real examples of how these have been used in a classroom setting, then took to the parking lot to apply what we had learned.
