BGFD Recruit Class 2027 has officially completed week one.

During their first week, recruits were introduced to the department’s chain of command, policies and procedures, and the personnel who work behind the scenes to support their success in the field.

The week concluded with the issuance of their initial personal protective equipment (PPE) as they prepare to begin SCBA Week.

One week down. The work continues.

We are grateful for programs like the Boys To Men Leadership Group Kentucky that help mentor young men, build character, develop leadership skills, and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities life brings.

This week, FF Cranor spent time with the group at Cumberland Trace Elementary sharing his personal experiences and life lessons with these young men.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of such an impactful program. We look forward to watching these young men grow into strong leaders and seeing the positive impact they will make in our community!

Our hearts were full Monday night.

The friendly competition between police and fire took a backseat to something much bigger as we came together for our Police + Fire Softball Game benefiting Runs for Reagan.

It was a night filled with community, connection, and a shared purpose that reminds us what it’s all about …showing up for one another, both on and off the field.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the cause, and helped make the night so special!

We would like to extend an extra special thanks to Servpro of Warren County and SKY Restoration DKI for donating concessions for the evening. Our mission wouldn’t be possible without community partners like you all!

The formal photos will be coming soon but in the meantime, please enjoy a highlight reel from Monday night’s 6th Annual Police + Fire - Runs for Reagan!

Opportunities aren’t just given out, they are earned.

Tonight, our City Commissioners confirmed that belief by approving the promotion of Engineer Alan Bush to Captain.

Captain Bush began his career with the Bowling Green Fire Department eight years ago, and through his dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving our community, he has continued to grow as a firefighter and leader.

Please join us as we celebrate Captain Bush in his new role!
