WCDPL is honored to host one of our Trailblazing Women in Ohio Politics, Nancy Putnam Hollister, this Thursday, October 8th at 6:30pm.

Trailblazing Women in Ohio Politics unpacks the remarkable achievements of women who broke electoral barriers on both sides of the political aisle. Hear their stories, understand the challenges they faced and listen to the successful strategies they employed.

The houseplant exchange is this weekend! Friday, October 2nd, the 2nd Floor Programming Room will be open for plant drop-offs from 1-5 pm. Bring your extra plants and clippings to the library to exchange with other community members. For each plant dropped off Friday, you will receive a ticket to exchange for another plant on Saturday. Yesterday, I was honored to join three of my fellow library directors from across Wood County for a luncheon at the Governor's residence.

Local Program Partners, such as our local WoodLink Libraries partnership, gathered to celebrate the success of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ohio, to remember Dolly herself, and to affirm our work to fulfill her continuing mission to place books in the hands of children here in Wood County and across the country and world.

The show must go on.

Sincerely,
Michael Penrod
WCDPL Director

P.S. Join us tomorrow from 9 to 5 for "Give Like Dolly Day!"
