Mark your calendars! Operation PRIDE is having drive through tree giveaway at Michael Buchanan Park on Friday, November 6th starting at 9:30 am. We will have eleven (11) different types of trees plus a bag of mulch with each tree. The trees are 5 gallon trees and are at least 5 feet tall. On behalf of Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman and Mayor Todd Alcott with the City of Bowling Green:

We value and honor the duty and sacrifice of our law enforcement officers. We offer our deepest condolences and prayers to the family of Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Monday, September 28, 2026 — especially to his loving wife and three children.

In honor of his service and sacrifice, we are ordering all flags at Warren County and City of Bowling Green government buildings lowered to half-staff today through sunset on Sunday, Oct. 4.

May he rest in peace, and may his family find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
