From the classroom to the driver’s seat!

Participants in the Recovery to Employment (R2E) program recently put their skills into action during hands-on forklift training and testing!

Training took place at the Kentucky Career Center (KCC) in Bowling Green and Stryker Logistics, giving participants opportunities to build workplace readiness skills and gain practical experience in a real-world setting.

R2E combines workforce preparation, industry-focused training, and employment support to help participants develop valuable skills and pursue meaningful career opportunities.

We’re proud of the hard work these participants are putting in and grateful to the partners helping make these opportunities possible!

Two distinguished honors. One shared commitment to serving veterans!

We’re proud to celebrate two outstanding recognitions for the people and programs helping veterans build meaningful careers in South Central Kentucky!

Roberta Bradley, with the Disabled Veteran Outreach Program, has received the Annual Distinguished Performer Award for her outstanding work supporting veterans as they overcome employment barriers and pursue new opportunities.

For Roberta, the work is personal. She believes in helping each veteran recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and define success on their own terms. And as she shares in her own words, the veterans she serves teach her something new along the way.

The Kentucky Career Center – Bowling Green has also earned recognition as a Distinguished KCC through the Jobs for Veterans State Grants program for its exceptional service to veterans.

These honors reflect something worth celebrating: dedicated professionals who understand that helping veterans find meaningful employment is about more than filling a job opening. It’s about recognizing their experience, supporting their goals, and helping them take the next step.

Congratulations to Roberta and the entire Bowling Green Kentucky Career Center team! Your dedication to those who have served our country is making a difference right here in our region.
